We’re taught to hide, dissimulate, to fake and disguise
So we end up caught in the fear of who we are
Concerned in painting images of ourselves
That once displayed to the world’s stalls won’t get us hurt
Who can tell the person from the character?
Who can tell the face from the mask it wears?
Scenophiliac, play the part assigned
‘till snipers are in sight
Metaphysical fourth wall as our shield from reality
There is a privilege for some, a temporary exemption
To let loose what’s restrained inside, and that’s called art
Where pain and fiction become one and breed the beauty
A masquerade for truth to dance dressed as itself
Scenophiliac, naked on stage
Free to by myself
My oblivion, joint between dreams and reality
Who can tell our choices from the screenplay?
Who can tell the acting from the real tragedy?
Scenophiliac, naked on stage
Free to by myself
There’s more life in here than I’ve ever lived…
Scenophiliac, blood runs on stage
Froze in my daily grave
Twisted, brilliant paradox of being real

A Raven never smiles

Daughters of fair Venus, can you tell me how it feels?
I guess you’re walking on a razorblade when days close in.
All you are adored for in this world will fade in time,
and you’ll remain like empty shells, without a pearl inside.
Still I’d give eternity of wisdom blessing me
for just one moment of your beauty’s gift.
Walking in the shades I try to hate your emptiness,
but I hear the echoes of my envy for your grace.
I flee stares, afraid of scorn, in loneliness I hide
and dry the tears from my black feathers, a Raven shouldn’t cry.
To be just wise feels like a shame, all my preciousness means pain.
I damn you all, in sadness’ name!
A raven never smiles, I’d rather be the silent one
and turn away my eyes From what I’ll never have...
a Raven never smiles.
Surely you could love the beast and turn my ugliness
Into graceful features to your Cupid-blinded glance.
You could see my nature for what it is and be not scared,
I could trust your voice so warm, but my blackness would remain.
Despite my faith, I’d be afraid that you could turn your eyes
and charming spells could make them blind
A Raven never smiles, would you learn to love my tears and drown into my crying eyes, bathe in sweet sorrow?
‘Cause a Raven never smiles, this grief will never leave my side
Despite all that you tried I’m still in sorrow...
a Raven never smiles.

I knew a boy with a fragile heart,
with eyes like pure skies, with a mind full of dark.
He dreamt of greener grass on some other side
and talked to rainbows in the world he had inside.
He was bored of getting nowhere,
so he built a place he alone could reach;
he used to linger into moving stories
and wander through his own fantasy.
He shuts so tight his watery eyes,
he sleeps the hours away so dreams can stay a little longer.
His friends were loneliness and complaint,
he was in love with sadness and she loved him back.
He failed or gave up all the things he tried:
he was melancholy’s favourite child.
He was eager to make his wish real, but he feared reality.
If he ever should find something precious,
it would end shattered at his feet.
Take him high, a helpless sigh as he falls again,
‘cause highness never stays a little longer
He painted his room’s walls with relieving lies,
a haven of illusion where he locked up from inside,
where all he wondered of was just as real…
he held me near by sneaking in my dreams
Apart from life, safe from his frights,
swallowing his thoughts, so no one’ll ever know…
He hides from cares behind a blank stare,
where worries cannot chase; you’ll find him there, talking to rainbows.

Do you ever wonder how can there be peace?
What lies beyond all this?
Don’t you fear limits and frontiers?
Do you wait for winter to turn into spring?
Don’t you keep running until you reach your aim?
Do you wish for envy and self-concerning to release us, to cease?
I’ll drink the wisdom from the ancient past
I’ll search the light to discover my best
I’ll keep my courage in the storms of life
I won’t give up until I’ve done my part
I’ll spring up from the earth
Did you ever feel grateful to life for allowing you in every day?
Can you even guess both, your light and dark,
are as well basic pillars of what you are?
Can you realize helping others out is not in order of reward
And it can bounce back on your way?
Don’t you believe in coincidence?
I’ll drink the wisdom from the ancient past
I’ll search the light to discover my best
I’ll hold on to my faith, my own true strength
Trying to make this world a better place
I’ll spring up from the earth
How did we get to such pain?
-How did we get to this?-
Blame it on society and wash your hands clean
-as you could not help at all-
But your every single thought holds the key
To start again by now,
I’ll keep bowing though you’re throwing stones
I’ll drink the wisdom from the ancient past
I’ll search the light to discover my best
I’ll take as mine your scars, fighting on as one
Mirror of life, I’m gonna make you shine
I’ll spring up from the earth

The different revolution
06:00
|
|||
It starts from the heart of men, from the brave who stand alone
A spirit’s renaissance to break through the surface and reach beyond
It’s starting now
It’s never over
Feel the change within yourself
Observe your mind
It has no shape, it has no color, makes no sound
Still you cannot say it is not there
Observe your mind
Tune its inner waves to cosmic ones
And see the wonders...
The wonders all around
The power of this charming sound
Here is the place, now is the time
Clear is the sense of all the signs
Here is the flesh, here is the mind
What else do you need to turn around?
It’s starting now
To spread all over
See the change throughout the land
Homines, numen omnipotens
faber fati sui, doloris et gaudii
Homines, ab lumine generati,
ad lucem redeunt
per sonum mirabilem
We rose and fell, and then fell again
Until we found a key to transformation
We left behind all the limits and the fears
A different kind of revolution
The wonders in a breath
The power of the inner scent
Here is the place, now is the time
Clear is the sense of all the signs
Here is the flesh, here is the mind
What else do you need to turn around?
